The END-WET 2023 Guest Swimmer is....

Hello everyone,

Please join me in welcoming the Guest Swimmer for END-WET 2023, Evan Morrison.

Evan Morrison is a marathon swimmer, originally from California and currently based in Sydney, Australia. For his contributions to the sport, he was inducted in 2022 to the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame as an Honor Administrator.

Evan co-founded the Marathon Swimmers Federation and developed several influential projects including the LongSwims Database, the MSF Documented Swims platform for ratifying independent marathon swims, the Rules of Marathon Swimming, and the track.rs GPS tracking app. Since 2016, he has served as president of the Santa Barbara Channel Swimming Association.

Evan has completed 20 marathon-distance solo swims and races, including the Catalina Channel, Around Manhattan Island, and the Tampa Bay Marathon Swim. He set course records across New York Bay between Sandy Hook and Manhattan, and across the Santa Barbara Channel from Santa Cruz Island. The latter swim was featured in the documentary film DRIVEN. In 2020, he completed the first winter swim of San Francisco's challenging Round-Trip Angel Island route.

Evan's passion for long-distance open water swimming first developed off the shores of Chicago — so he is delighted for the opportunity to return to the Midwest for END-WET.
