Revision of Extreme North Dakota Iceman Triathlon (END-IT) from Sat, 11/07/2015 - 10:41

TBD 2016, Grand Forks, ND

Race Summary

The Grand Cities Greenway provides an awesome setting for this exciting and challenging event.  Race solo or as a relay team on a course designed to test you on each leg of the race with off trail travel, so come prepared! This race is the perfect balance of fun and brutality - heavy on the former and light (but not without) the latter.  After all, it is Extreme North Dakota!

The race consists of three disciplines:

  1. Nordic/cross-country skiing (classic)
  2. Biking (on and off of the Greenway path)
  3. Running (off-road, on-snow)
  4. Sledding (this is a minor part of the race, but be prepared!)

Other details:  Skis are available for rent for the event through the Ski & Bike Shop.  Skiing is classic technique, not skate--even if the trails are groomed for skate.  Biking will be paved biking trails, groomed snowmobile trails, and possible short sections of other trail.  Running will be mostly on snowmobile trails.  The race finishes with a sledding leg - racers can bring their own sleds or use those available at the warming house on a first come, first served basis.

It's an ENDracing event, so be prepared for anything!
