Trail conditions in 2014:

Trail conditions 2013:

Race Summary: A beautiful trail ultramarathon with 100K, 50K, and 25K relay options.  Race covers the entire length of the Sheyenne National Grasslands section of the North Country Trail, SW of Fargo North Dakota.  Sections of wide open prairie, pockets of forest, and rugged, rolling 'sandhills' keep the race interesting.  This event is North Dakota's longest footrace and first ultramarathon.

NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION!

Location: Sheyenne National Grasslands, approx. 45 minutes SW of Fargo, ND.  Here's a Map.  During the inaugural year (mid March) runners faced over a foot of brand new snow on the trail.  We've moved the date a bit later in the spring but you should still be prepared for an 'all conditions race.' Yeah, it is possible that the trail will be dry and in awesome conditions, but it itsn't exactly likely.  While we expect some sections of dry and fast runnig, we also expect challenging sections of the race including plenty of miles of 'spring conditions'.

Lodging: Details coming Fall 2014 for 2015 race.

Relay details: Participants in the relay category will transfer bib numbers at approximatley the half way point through the course.  Maps to this location will be provided.  Runners doing the second leg should provide transportation at the switch off location so that the first leg runner has a way to get to the finish line - we will not provide transportation to or from the half relay switch location.

Entry includes:  Shuttle service if applicable (50K and relay), a sweet race,  post race refreshments/meal, aid stations, prizes for top finishers in all categories (depth of prizing depends on racer numbers), and finisher awards for all 100K finishers.  2014's finisher awards were hand-made and etched wine punts--100% repurposed materials and local craftsmanship! ENDracing swag will be available as an add on items during registration at dirt cheap prices.

Refund Policy:  Sorry, there are no refunds of your registration fee if the race happens. and the race will happen under all weather conditions, unless the interstates are closed.  In event of such severe weather, a modified course may be offered on the same day or an alternate date chosen. Registered racers unable to make the new date would be offered credit towards another ENDracing event in an amount equal to 75% of the registration cost.  If the event is cancelled entirely due to weather, flood, or natural disaster, all registered racers will receive the 75% credit.  In the extremely unlikely event that the event is cancelled for other reasons (lack of participant numbers, for example), full refunds will be provided, of course.

Event Waiver: Click here to see the event waiver.  Please print one and fill it out and bring it to pre-registration/registration.  We will have extras in the event you forget.  You will not be allowed to race without a signed waiver.

Other details:  Although there will be several aid stations, racers should be prepared to be self sufficient and will be required to carry a minimum amount of gear (gear list).  This gear list may be modified prior to race day depending on weather forecasts and/or actual race day conditions.
