Details:

Date:  June 5 2021

Distances:

Civil Twilight 0452; Sunrise 0530; Sunset 2114; Civil Twilight 2154

Start Times: In order to provide appropriate distancing options at the Baer farm there will be windows of start time for riders in each distance category. Anyone is welcome to begin their distance at 0530 or up to these latest times:  205k participants have to begin by 0700   105k participants have to begin by 1000    55k participants have to begin by 1200

It is the responsibility of each participant to notify the time keeper prior to their start and when they finish. This assures both accuracy of timing and maintaining a record of who is still enjoying the TICK adventure. If you choose to begin with others that is permissable. However, there will not be a group start at a specific time. There is ample space both in the Baer's shed and around the area to maintain distancing in all aspects of the day.

Venue:

Jona and Alica Baer turn over their massive shop with attached living space to be the TICK zone. If you want to stay on site, no problem! You can camp or take advantage of one of the beds inside. Too tired to drive home post-ride, no problem! Plenty of space to rest in comfort. There are bathrooms and a shower. Want to keep your own post-ride foods/beverages cold, no problem! There is plenty of refrigerator/freezer space.

The address: 12177 County Highway 8, Lake Park, MN 56554

Other details:

Printed cue cards will be available the day of the event for all distances. GPS tracks will also be available for downloading the Monday prior. The event director uses Ride with GPS for mapping and cue cards. All routes are physically checked for accuracy to insure proper signage and distances. Past routes can be seen by searching Ride with GPS.

Participants should be prepared for a variety of terrain and weather conditions. Gravel roads, minimum maintenance roads, single + double track trails, and pavement can be a part of each distance. Each participant is responsible for their physical, emotional, and mechanical needs. You are responsible for you.

It is recommended that you use both a front LED light and a rear red LED light while riding. Being visible helps with your safety as you traverse the curves, hills, and trails of the beautiful rural setting. Bright and/or reflective clothing is also a good choice. Helmets are mandatory for all riders.

If you want to stay at the start the night before, please contact ENDracing to make this known.  Please provide your own sleep system, towels, and hygene items. Bathroom surfaces will be sanitized between users. Your help and cooperation is greatly appreciated.

You are responsible for yourself on this journey. Please abide by the COVID-19 protocols not only to protect yourself, but others with whom you share this experience (including c-store staff and aid station personnel). While at the Baer's shop area be mindful of distancing and the protection provided while wearing a mask. You are participating for a variety of reasons which include the enjoyment of other riders and the wonderful hospitality provided by the Baer family. Your considerate actions and choices are appreciated by everyone involved with END-TICK.

*Gravel races are traditionally free, and we like that tradition. You're more than welcome to kick in some money to cover event costs (insurance, food, gas, etc.), but it's not required. All that we ask is that if you sign up, you actually show up, so we don't end up with tons of extra food laying around. (And if dropping some $$$ now helps you remember to show up, we're not going to stop you.)
