We’re excited to announce Sarah Thomas as this year’s guest swimmer at END-WET! Sarah joins the ranks of past guest swimmers Darren Miller, Jen Schumacher, and Annaleise Carr.
Sarah is an American open water marathon swimmer. She entered the ultra-distance swimming world in 2010, completing the Catalina Channel. That same year she was the US Masters Swimming (USMS) 6K open-water champion for her age group. In 2011, Sarah swam the esteemed Manhattan Island Marathon Swim (MIMS), taking 2nd female and 5th overall.

The swimmers might get the glory, but they don't do it alone.... Be an unsung hero--Volunteer
Studio 1, the University of North Dakota's in house news channel, was a constant presence during END-WET.
Well, the inaugural event is over! It exceeded my expectations in every regard, from the support from the official communities involved (city governments, sheriffs and fire departments), the sponsors, the volunteers, the media attention, the spectators, and of course the athletes!
Leonard Jansen, who is one of the swimmers who is participating in next week's solo swim of 27 miles, gave me these tidbits in an email where I requested tips for my upcoming trial swim of the course next week. Thought I should pass them on as I know of a few local swimmers who are not seasoned veterans who, like myself, benefit very much from the wisdom of others... thanks Leonard!
s it that he was training for the race too. I'm a little skeptical on this last point though as i haven't recieved his registration or even an email inquiry as to whether there are still spots available.
